Packers fans will remember Fleming for his seven years as tight end for the Green Bay team, from 1963 to 1969. Recruited by Vince Lombardi at twenty years old, Fleming went on to play in the legendary Ice Bowl and became the first athlete to play in five Super Bowls (I, II, VI, VII, & VIII), winning four of them. Fleming currently resides in California but will be in Green Bay for Packers alumni weekend.

Martin Short’s September 23rd performance at the Weidner Center marks the first show of Weidner Center Presents’ new Performing Arts Season. The red carpet will literally be rolled out for a pre-show celebration in the Grand Foyer of the Weidner Center as the new season is kicked-off. Complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvers will be served, and those attending Martin Short’s performance that evening are encouraged to arrive early to participate. Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt and Weidner Center Presents’ Board President Fred Schmidt and Executive Director Katie Green will also be addressing the crowd during the grand kick-off.
