Weidner Center Presents Inc (WCP), the independent, nonprofit organization providing programming for the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, is proud to announce Katie Green as their Executive Director.
Green comes to WCP from the Packer Country Visitor and Convention Bureau where she served as Director of Marketing and Partnerships since 2003. Her professional affiliations include Vice President of the Wisconsin Harbor Towns Association, Tall Ship Tours, Inc. Executive Committee, Brand Green Bay Committee, City of Green Bay Celebrate Americafest board, State Department of Tourism Special Events Committee, Wisconsin Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus member and Destination Marketing Association International member.
“Green brings with her an extensive background in marketing and the performing arts and will be a huge asset as Weidner Center Presents develops programs and establishes its role in the region,” said Weidner Center Presents Board President Fred Schmidt.
Prior to the Packer Country Visitor and Convention Bureau, Green worked for the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts for eight years, beginning as a Ticket Office Supervisor and advancing to Group Sales Manager. During that time she served as paid consultant to venues in Peoria, IL and Milwaukee, WI on sales, promotion, and management strategies. She was also selected as a panel speaker by the League of American Theatres and Producers for their annual Group Sales Forum.
Green is a University of Wisconsin – Green Bay graduate and is currently enrolled in the University's Masters of Management program.
