Dr. Laura Berman is the Director of the Berman Center in Chicago, a specialized healthcare facility dedicated to helping women repair their sex lives and find relief from menopausal symptoms. Dr. Berman is also an assistant clinical professor of OBGYN and Psychiatry at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. She has been working as an educator, researcher, and therapist for nearly two decades.
Considered a thought leader in her field, Dr. Berman has appeared in numerous national media outlets including, “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Today Show,” Fox News, CNN, The New York Times, USA Today, Glamour, Elle, and Ladies’ Home Journal. She starred in Showtime’s television series, “Sexual Healing” and is a columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times. Co-author of The New York Times bestselling book, For Women Only: A Revolutionary Guide to Overcoming Sexual Dysfunction and Reclaiming Your Sex Life as well as Secrets of the Sexually Satisfied Woman: 10 Keys to Unlocking Ultimate Pleasure, her latest book is The Passion Prescription: 10 Weeks to Your Best Sex Ever.
Dr. Berman is the Director of the Sexual Health State-of-the-Art series, an accredited program for the Council of Continuing Medical Education and currently serves on the foundation board of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. She is also a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists and the National Association of Social Workers.
She has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and honors including the Israel Cancer Research Fund's Women of Action Award, the National Association of Women Business Owners Rising Star of the Year Award, and the Los Angeles Business Journal's Women Who Make a Difference Award.
After obtaining a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work and a Doctorate in Health Education and Therapy (specializing in human sexuality) at New York University, she completed a training fellowship in Sexual Therapy with the Department of Psychiatry, New York University Medical Center.
