As America's new first family of bluegrass, Cherryholmes has stormed to the top of the bluegrass world by winning the 2005 International Bluegrass Music Association Award for Entertainer of the Year. Debuting at No. 3 on Billboard's Top Bluegrass Albums chart, their self-titled album has received a 2005 Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album of the Year. In 2007 they received a Grammy nomination for their latest album Black & White. The Cherryholmes sound is made up of hard-driving instrumental virtuosity and explosive vocal harmonies, featuring a mixture of original songs written by members of the band and carefully chosen classics.
Green Bay favorite Bent Grass will have you smiling from start to finish. Their instrumentation includes banjo, guitar, mandolin, stand-up bass, Dobro, four part harmonies and some well-placed a cappella singing. Bent Grass will treat you to both traditional bluegrass and some gospel music, as well as performing original material in this grassroots presentation. Though this group is only a few years in the making, its fan base is growing with each performance.
